A colleague and I have been walking every day during our lunch hour. He's from Waukegan so we take all the back allys for shortcuts and special interest. Here is an interesting find, I think. It's the back ally of an auto shop. The bench says, "Where we meet by accident, Belvidere Auto Body." Clever, isn't it?

A great example of mid 20th century americana! That is art. The design, the words, all of it. And the symbolisim of the bus stop bench? Fabulous!
