house friends
well, maybe i was too hard on waukegan. they do have some great old neighborhoods and really, where do you find beautiful old brick houses this regal anymore?
These houses tend to have excellent dark wood trim inside with beautiful stairways, high ceilings, etc. However, they tend to be very drafty unless the owner replaces all the windows and insulates the between the walls. The heating bills average at least $200.00 a month. Many times the owner will split the house and rent the upstairs as an apartment.
