Racine, Wisconsin

Music Instruction

Every year in Racine, Wisconsin they have a public art theme. This year was, you guessed it, birds. One year it was bears, another dogs, etc. The art is placed all around the downtown area with the sculptures going to a fundraising auction.

Here is my friend, Andrew, giving this bird some music instruction. He was our favorite.

Waiting sailboats

There wasn't a lick of wind today in Waukegan and the sailboats rocked gently in their slips waiting for the wind.

Antioch, Illinois

Antioch, Illinois is a just south of the Illinois/Wisconsin border and has a great variety of fun old time restaurants and a cool movie theater. It's pretty much a "small town USA snapshot."

From left to right is my daughter Ally, Jean, Holly and my oldest daughter Sylvia. We all went to an excellent authentic Italian restaurant in downtown Milwaukee.
